There is a private path up to the historic old church of St. Lawrence that still holds regular services, as well as one leading down to the round island coastal route for cyclists and path for walkers. A two mile coastal path leads into Ventnor town, beach, harbour and permanent fresh fish market selling the day’s catch direct from the fishermen.

Rocklands Manor offers plenty of seating inside and out for big groups and small to socialise and work together, as well as many places of privacy and intimacy throughout the Manor and grounds. Relax in leather sofas in the original ballroom with 52” TV, SKY, DVD and French doors opening onto the elegant sheltered verandah and croquet lawn. There is also the billiards room and bar, the formal dining/banqueting room effortlessly seating 22 together or in groups for meals or meetings, and again outside under the sun or stars on the large terrace by the pool.

Self catering is pure indulgence in the huge fully fitted cloisters kitchen where you can snuggle up in front of the fire with a glass of wine and a book while chefs amongst you prepare delicious local produce from the Island’s rich land and sea harvest. Bespoke catering and housekeeping can be arranged if desired.
