Appley Beach House is a splendid three storey detached Victorian mansion with grounds opening right onto the esplanade, safe sandy beaches and beautiful parks of Appley at the eastern end of Ryde seafront. From all fast mainland connections you can alight from the fast catamaran or hovercraft and simply walk along the beach or esplanade to Appley Beach House. Literally just 2hrs door to door from Central London, it’s as easy as that. This makes Appley Beach House the perfect venue for small or large groups (from 1 to 15) of family, friends or colleagues with members needing to commute daily to London for instance via hourly fast direct train services to Waterloo.

Appley Beach House’s private swimming pool is heated May to September. There are two large games rooms with table tennis and pool, nine spacious bedrooms furnished with antiques and big comfy beds including super king four poster and king sizes. The large kitchen breakfast room overlooks the pool and there are separate formal dining room and lounges. Teak outside seating and parasols provide elegant alfresco dining. There is also facility for separate self contained accommodation within Appley Beach House if required for elderly parents or staff.

Electronic gated entry provides house and grounds with full security and privacy. The double driveway has ample parking for many cars and water craft. Ryde marina is just minutes’ walk from the house, where there is mooring for larger craft. Smaller craft may access the private slipway at Westfield Park Lodge. A water taxi runs between nearby Seaview and Cowes during major sailing events. Cowes is also easily accessible by road. Seaview itself may be reached by walking along the beach or sea walk from Appley Beach House.

Westfield Park Lodge

Westfield Park Lodge, built as part of Princess Diana’s ancestors’ estate in Ryde, such a fashionable place to be in Victorian times as it is again now, is a unique three bedroom Lodge with panoramic sea views over the busy Solent, in the most sought after area. From big comfy sofas and armchairs in the lounge, watch pretty yachts sail by day, twinkling lights on the water at night. This really is a pretty, busy stretch of water over which Westfield Park Lodge has a commanding view. Annual sailing events with dozens of pretty yachts large and small filling the water are just spectacular.

Westfield Park Lodge shares private access to the sandy beach just metres from the house as well as access to a private slipway. Within the grounds there is secure parking for cars and watercraft. Just a few minutes flat walk into town, restaurants and nightlife. Easy access to fast mainland connections just as with Appley Beach House.

St. Lawrence House

Close by in the same fabulous coastal and countryside location as Rocklands Manor, although completely separate and secluded, St. Lawrence House boasts fabulous sea views from house and grounds, large lounge, dining and games rooms with bar, American pool and table tennis tables together with 10 double bedrooms each with private bath or shower facilities. Morning access to private tennis court may be arranged.

Located right by the around Island coastal path, St. Lawrence House is just a few minutes’ walk through stunning scenery to a secluded cove as well as many walks with fabulous coastal and countryside scenery. St. Lawrence House has plenty of parking for cars and boats and, although offering a wealth of ensuite bedrooms and excellent ‘play’ facilities, has an intimate feel ideal for family holidays as well as weekend house parties and celebrations.

A perfect location for holiday and corporate stays in its own right, St. Lawrence House is ideally located also for bookings requiring additional accommodation with Rocklands Manor . Taken together the two properties provide 21 individual bedrooms.


Duke's Lane Cottage Brighton

Seaside cottage right in the middle of Brighton’s famous Lanes! Duke’s Cottage is 5 minutes walk to Brighton Pier, 1 minute to the fabulous beach and seafront. Sleeping 4-6, Dukes’ has private secure parking, a real bonus in the heart of Brighton. Walk out to the excellent shopping, beach and nightlife and you are never far from home. Dukes’ even has a balcony overlooking Duke’s Lane as well as a large terrace with designer seating for alfresco dining. Cool bags contain all you need for barbecues and picnics at the beach. Furnished in a crisp modern style, Dukes’ has smart leather sofas, big beds with freshly laundered linen, deep fluffy towels and a fabulous spa bathroom with jacuzzi jets and huge rain shower.

Ashcliff

Ashcliff is a wonderful historic property in the picturesque village of Bonchurch, one of the oldest settlements on the Isle of Wight, with a Norman church in which services are still held. Built in the early 19th century Ashcliff was the home of Elizabeth Missing Sewell for 60 years, a local author whose brother founded Radley College Oxford and another who became the first Prime Minister of New Zealand. Ashcliff’s abundant gardens, with lovely views over the English Channel, are home to a wide range of interesting plants. Guests are welcome to enjoy the full extent of the grounds and also to bring pets, the only www.rentamanor.com property available on this basis making it ideal for members of groups wishing to take part in group celebrations, meals etc., at the larger rentamanor.com properties on the Island which unfortunately are unable to accept pets in the house or grounds. Picturesque, peaceful and secluded, perfect for one or two adults, sorry no young children, looking for their own self contained bolthole just 10 minutes walk from the beach with the most wonderful sea and countryside walks, this double bedroom short stay exclusive use ground floor apartment has its own entrance and parking within the grounds of this otherwise private house.
